Immersions with plenty of light
Ibiza has a great treasure: the posidonia. This plant, which is not algae, grows in meadows, creating reefs parallel to the coast, protecting the coast from the erosion of the tides and allowing the finest sands to be deposited on the seabed and the shore, thus purifying the water, retaining the sediment. As well as acting as a natural purifier and absorber, posidonia cleans the water and oxygen, essential for the life of sponges and fish, among other organisms. For these reasons, the waters of Ibiza are not only excellent for swimming, but also for scuba diving, as the bright waters allow visibility at up to 40 metres depth. Another very attractive factor for scuba divers is the temperature of the water, which varies between 16 and 24 degrees, meaning that 5mm diving suits are sufficient for the summer season.
