National Fishing Open
Competition from an anchored boat, with the bay as the backdrop
This National Fishing Open, individual anchored boat modality, takes place in the setting of the bay of Sant Antoni and starts at the marina of this town. The previous day the boats are raffled and the day of the competition starts very early, to start fishing around 8.30 a.m. and finish 4 and a half hours later. The only baits allowed are the Korean worm and shrimp. The winner is declared to be the one who catches the greatest weight in authorised species, in both male and female categories, and another prize is also awarded to the largest specimen. The day concludes with a lunch and a trophy presentation at Club Nàutic Sant Antoni.
