The Rolling Stones. Sánchez-Runde Collection
The Ses Coves Blanques lighthouse is holding an original exhibition on the The Rolling Stones.
This year, the festivities held in honour of the patron saint of Sant Antoni will include an original exhibition featuring the British rock band The Rolling Stones, which will be on show from 16 January to 15 February at the Ses Coves Blanques lighthouse.
The collection belongs to Alberto Sánchez–Runde, a Barcelona native now settled in Ibiza who over the years has collected hundreds of souvenirs of the legendary group and who will be sharing them with the public for the first time. Around 200 items will be on show, part of his extensive collection, which includes some extremely valuable exhibits such as one of Ronnie Wood’s guitars, along with gold and platinum discs, and a unique collection of memorabilia.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on Thursday, 16 January at 8 pm. As a prelude to the inauguration, the Cervantes Cultural Centre will host a talk on the Rolling Stones at 6 pm given by the journalists Mariskal Romero, currently director of the magazine “La Heavy” and who runs the website Mariskalrock.com, and Mariano Muniesa, author of eight books about The Rolling Stones.
The exhibition has been organised by Sant Antoni Town Council jointly with the Retro Music and Culture Association and Zurich Insurance. It will be open to the public from 16 January, from Tuesday to Saturday from 5 pm to 8 pm.
