Visit the Cap Blanc Aquarium

– Sant Antoni de Portmany

Children and grownups alike will enjoy a trip to the Cap Blanc Aquarium formerly known as Sa Cova de ses Llagostes, (the lobster cave).

This natural cave has been converted to an aquarium where you can see the native Ibizan species swimming in a 300m2 lake. The aquarium is part of a project known as CREM which is dedicated to recovering marine species. Injured animals are brought to the centre, such as sea turtles rescued along the coast, and here they are cared for and returned to the sea when they have recovered.

The Cap Blanc Aquarium is easy to reach, either on foot by following the footpath from Caló des Moro, or by the boat that sails daily from the port of Sant Antoni. It makes for a fun trip for all the family and its small restaurant and terrace there provides an area for simply chilling out and enjoying the views.

I didn't go to the aquarium but I didBeach bar that is super beautiful and pleasant. The service is very good and the views are incredible to have a summer tinto and relax. The truth is, a slightly hidden place but you have to go!!! Super recommended and the prices are very good. The aquarium is a little expensive but the rest is fine.

Aquarium if very small it takes only a few minutes to walk, underwater cave turned into an aquarium, very cool. Great view of the sea.

Looks bigger in the picture, the place is tiny and you will spend only a few minutes in there. One ticket is €6-€7/per adult and we felt that was not worth it. The aquarium is in a natural cave and that is all about the place.

Traditional dishes are given a slightly more modern twist but still include Island favourites like Bullit de Peix, Sofrit Pagès, or the typical desserts graixonera and flaó

What a lovely spot to walk too an enjoy Ibiza. The view out to sea is amazing, as is the underwater cave. The cafe prices are very reasonable, recommended for everyone. Mi bar favorita en Ibiza.

Staff are really friendly, the aquarium isn't huge but it's a nice reprieve from the sun and is very peaceful. Not the mention the stunning landscape you can see not only on the way down to the aquarium but from the bar area itself. Very picturesque! My favourite was the octopus, I had to sit silently for a good 20 minutes for it to show itself but absolutely worth it. I would recommend this for a morning or afternoon out the sun.

I visited Aquarium Cap Blanc with my son (twice) recently and loved it. It’s natural and so so beautiful. Even the walk up is breathtaking. The little look one got to feed the fish and was delighted. They also have lobsters and we also saw a small shark. It’s not huge but a perfect morning/ afternoon out, especially if you have kids :). The staff are lovely too.

Lovely aquarium! Visited with a 2 and 4 yr old, and both loved it. A magical feel in the little cave, not somewhere to visit for long but definitely worth a look if you're nearby. Thank you!

Very nice small privately owned aquarium.Entry fee is €5 per person.Seems high but remember, is privately funded and for me well worth it.Nice assortment of local fishes from the Sant Antoni bay to see up close. And then the spot of the small bar, it's perfectly placed at the water front.Nice place to relax and enjoy the view.Service is also nice.

After finding out that Aquarium supports saving fish, turtles etc, we decided to go and visit. Small cave which has been magically changed into a walk in aquarium. 5 Euro adult fee..(many hotels have 20% discount vouchers). Lovely experience being able to feed the different fish species. Fish food cost just a couple of Euro a tub..but the fish love it..so you may be tempted to buy more. Lovely small bar/cafe offering food and a well stocked bar and different kinds of hot beverages. No toilet, so go beforehand. Ferry back to the Harbour if the walk is too far. Very nice friendly staff who also speak English, so..no language barriers. Great place to visit.
