Molí d’en Simó Cultural Centre
C/ Estrella, 6 – Sant Antoni de Portmany
Molí d’en Simó, in carrer de l’Estrella no. 6 in Sant Antoni is an ancient former flour mill built in typical Majorcan style with a narrow tower. It has been declared a cultural heritage monument and was purchased by the Consell D’Eivissa in 2001. It was then restored by the Consell and handed over to Sant Antoni town council for use.
At the start of this year, the Molí d’en Simó opened as an extension of the Ibiza Ethnographic Museum. This new cultural space will house Carmen Tur’s collection and those of other families who have donated typical Ibizan costumes, weapons, basketry and musical instruments dating from the 19th century.
