Buscastell
Buscastell is a predominantly agricultural area located in the heart of the municipality. The closest thing to a village can be found at the famous crossroads of Can Tixedó, where there is a small contemporary church (Capilla de la Purísima), a busy bar, which also serves as an exhibition hall, and a grocery store. At the same crossroads, a market is held most Saturday mornings, selling products grown or produced on the island: honey, nuts, oil, wine, pastries, handicrafts, etc.
The surrounding area is occupied by scattered houses and farms with their picturesque terraces (feixes), irrigation ditches, wells and plantations. A beautiful and clear example of how the irrigation system was organised is El Broll, a small valley very close to the Can Tixedó crossroads. A perfect spot for hiking and cycling.
