Sant Mateu d’Albarca

Located in the Pla d’Albarca, a beautiful agricultural plain, Sant Mateu is a tiny picturesque village in the north of the municipality. Its activity has been closely linked to vine growing and winemaking. For this reason, its yearly wine festival attracts thousands of visitors eager to taste the newly produced local wines. Not surprisingly, a couple of wineries started up in the same area, bottling various types of wine.

The Pla is a lovely area to visit on foot or by bicycle, and is the starting point for the path leading to the spectacular Albarca cliffs, at the foot of which lies a cove of the same name, the destination of many adventurous hikers.

There is also a path that leading to another enchanting spot, Ses Torres d’en Lluc.
